Today marks the FEVE IMPULSE regional Communication Day Coordinated by Enda-Sante.
FEVE IMPULSE is a collaborative project implemented across 10 African countries, dedicated to enhancing capacity building, Awareness and prevention, HIV and Hepatitis testing, Co-infection and Cervical Cancer Screening and psychosocial support for vulnerable populations.
Through its holistic approach, IMPULSE continues to strengthen communities and improve lives.

DAY FOR THE FEVE IMPUSLE NETWORK

NASO, in collaboration with The Gambia Armed Forces, organized a sensitization and cervical cancer screening for young women at the Yundum army barracks. The event was a resounding success, drawing a large turnout and featuring both entertainment and educational sessions focused on the impact of cervical cancer on women.

CERVICAL CANCER TRAINING AT EFSTH

Monday 18th of December 2023


NASO in collaboration with the Obstetrics and Gynecology unit of the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital (EFSTH) conducted a training for nurses on cervical cancer screening and services among people living with HIV/AIDS and vulnerable populations across major health centers from different regions in the Gambia.


SUCCUSSFULLY PROVIDED BOREHOLE

In partnership with the Banjul US Embassy's Julia Taft Project, we have successfully built boreholes in Siwol and Buluntou in Foni, ensuring refugees from Cassamance the southern region of Senegal have access to safe, clean drinking water.


FEVE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

NASO, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Enda Sante, hosted the FEVE international conference at Coaco Ocean. The conference focused on strategies to curb the spread of sexually transmitted diseases and other illnesses within the subregion. Distinguished guests included the Luxembourg ambassador from Senegal, and the Director of Enda Sante, alongside health experts from the Gambia and the surrounding subregion


CROSSBORDER AWARENESS

A campaign to promote awareness about HIV and AIDS, along with voluntary counseling and testing (VCT), is being carried out for people residing in cross-border areas between The Gambia and Senegal. The campaign is centered around Missira, Sare Musa, and Senoba Anglaise.


TRAINING FOR REFUGEES

Tuesday 1st of November 2022


3-day training for refugees held at Sibanor refugee center on Human rights, HIV, STI, TB, cervical cancer, and Hepatitis B, from 19th - 21st October 2022. The activity was accompanied by offering them VCT and STIs assessment.
